Sugar Shack is a candy-antiques-vintage store. You can fill up a gift bag easily with all the goodies in this shop. Make time to sit and drink some coffee while you’re there – and treat yourself to some candy.
Down the road about 15 minutes from the Oro Grande vintage shops is a place that book lovers will enjoy – Hi Desert Book Oasis Book Store. The book store is located in the historic Apple Valley Inn. They have books galore and an adorable corner for kids to play.
You’re bound to get hungry on your day trip. A few doors away from Sugar Shack and Silver Trails is a pizza restaurant, Cross Eyed Cow Pizza. If you prefer something different than pizza, try Maxwell’s (burgers, salads) or Overland’s Meat Deli (the best) are on Hwy. 18 between Oro Grande, to Hi Desert Book Oasis.
If you run out of time on your Valentine’s Day shopping day trip, no need to worry. Plan another High Desert shopping trip. Vintage enthusiasts will love visiting the area’s antique shops.
