Looking for Spring family-fun weekend activities to do in the High Desert? Spring Valley Lake Country Club is offering a festival on April 25th, 1-4 pm. This event will include face painting, food, games, inflatables, and live music. Admission is FREE!
Take this opportunity to check out the Victorville country club. You can also arrange to take a tour. A blogger friend who is a member invited me for breakfast at the club’s Sand Trap Grill. I was faced with a dilemma. Everything on the menu looked good, and I had a difficult time deciding what to order. Our exceptional waitress, Michelle, came to my rescue. She pointed out several items but had my attention at her description of the Haystack. It’s a scrambled egg dish with very fine fried onion strings on top.

The Haystack, my choice, was served in an elegant .white bowl. I told Michelle it looked too pretty to eat. The one-dish meal in addition to biscuits and gravy filled me up for the day.
O.M.Goodness, if you like breakfast and become a member or get invited to dine at the club, go before 11:00 am and order the Haystack. Biscuits and gravy too rich for your diet (mine too, but I splurged)? Not a problem. There are a couple of other bread choices. Listed on the menu were multiple entrees including those for the extremely nutritious-conscious individuals.
The High Desert country club is a private facility that offers members special amenities such as a golf course, tennis courts, fitness center, and a year-round junior Olympic pool. However, the facility is offered to nonmembers for weddings and other special events.
