    May 14, 2012, Monday,
Hesperia Garden Club will be having their annual club Flower Show. Public is invited to attend. There is no cost. Raffle tickets are 3 for $1.00 and some of the show bouquets will be raffled off along with seasonal plants from Cal Herbold’s Nursery.

Since this is the time to be planting our warm season veggies – tomatoes, squash, melons, cucumbers, peppers, pumpkins, beans, corn, eggplant, herbs, and flowers – there will also be seedlings raffled off. Always an exciting time. Often our members bring seedlings and plants from their own garden free of charge or a very nominal fee of 50 cents. Refreshments, coffee and punch are served. Come and enjoy garden talk and meet garden friends and neighbors! Membership is $15.00/year and that entitles you to a membership card with 10% discount at Cal Herbold’s Nursery on most items.

1:00 PM Lime Street Park, Corner of Lime St. between 3rd St and Hesperia Rd.

Hi, Pat. Thank you for sharing your helpful gardening comments. Does the Hesperia Garden Club also have meeting times for gardeners who work during the day?

Well, one of these days when I can, I would love to come to one of the meetings. In the meantime, I hope you’ll continue to share your gardening expertise on High Desert Blogging.

If you’re coming from I-15 South, take the Hwy. 18/Oro Grande exit, turn left at the light, and go approximately 15 miles. Bottle Tree Ranch is on the left. Fascinating place!
