Just a thought. Maybe the gift card could be from a locally owned place like The Grind, One of Life’s Perks or Tonyan Coffee. If you’ve got Starbucks donating, let’s give the locals a chance to meet or beat their offer.

Willis, you are so right! It was habit I think combined with a suggestion from a fellow blogger that I chose Starbucks. We are going to continue the writing contests, so next month I will change that to one of our own coffee shops. Wonderful idea!

Since contestants have 30 days to enter, maybe hinting how many entries have been received each week would encourage writers to take a chance. The odds are better when new contests are introduced due to less writers being aware of it. We need a feeding frenzy.

    Sister Horn,
Is there any place better during the autumn then Wisconsin ? I think not, as I think myself happy.

Wow! It’s great to hear from you. John, you are SO right about that. I was just telling a friend yesterday that Wisconsin is one of the prettiest states in autumn with the beautiful colors. I miss it and miss all our friends there. What I need to do is schedule a blogging workshop up there and see everyone!!
