Pomegranates Galore!

It’s time to harvest our this year’s crop of pomegranates!

We have more than ever before on our Pomegranate tree.

Perfect for Pomegranate Juice

I’ve been wanting to know how to get the seeds out easily and make my own organic pomegranate juice.

I just got an email this morning from Ronnie and Minh who are raw foodists.

Ronnie just posted a video on Youtube today about making pomegranate juice.  How’s that for a serendipitous moment!

If you would like to learn how to get the seeds out of a pomegranate easily and make your own raw pomegranate juice click on Marti Muses and Marvels.

Happy Juicing!

They look so pretty on the tree, too. We love pomegranates. Our featured blog this past Pink Saturday did her post of pomegranates. You might want to visit it. She had some great ideas, too.

Oh how I love pomegranates, and I agree with Beverly. They do look so pretty on the tree. I remember going to my paternal grandmother’s and pulling the pomegranates off of the tree or picking them up from the ground. We would cut a pomegranate in half, bite into it, and suck the juice from the seeds. They have the best taste!

I’m trying out all sorts of new recipes using our yummy pomegranates…I think I’m even going to use some of the juice to hand dye some of my hand-spun alpaca yarn!

I had a pomegranate tree on my street when I was growing up. They seemed a bit mysterious to me, somehow even though I knew what was inside. Maybe it was because it was a bit harder to get to the juicy kernels inside that made them seem exotic….mmm interesting…S G
