There’s something in the air. It’s fall vintage shopping. Whether it’s at a flea market, vintage shop, or yard sale, beautiful fall weather just makes it better. Even better than that is upcycling those vintage goodies you found – like this little girlie mailbox my hubby and I found and have upcycled.
Don’t you love it when upcyclers (that’s the people who do the upcycling if you weren’t sure) make new things out of old things – and give you the instructions on how to do it? You’ll find that kind at Junk Fun’s, http://learnupcycling.com. Not only do you get the photos and the instructions. You get the humor added in to boot. I love it.
Repurposing and upcycling make yard sale-ing worth wanting the weekends to hurry up and get here. It’s almost as exciting as going to Disneyland, maybe more. You lose your money at the Disneyland gates. You lose your money at the yard sales and multiply it when you market the upcycled and repurposed vintage lovelies you found.
The latest vintage finds my hubby and I have upcycled:
You can purchase any of the above at our Etsy shop.
Now that it’s October and Halloween is not far away, it’s always fun to decorate pumpkins and bake pumpkin bread, cookies, and bars. Of course, the most fun part is eating the pumpkin goodies. When my family and I used to be full-time RV’ers, I began a family tradition of going to pumpkin patches and letting my daughter pick out a pumpkin. We’d take the pumpkin back to the RV, and I’d boil it then bake pumpkin bars. It was so fun and has made the best sweet memories for me. Just for kicks, let’s see what type of pumpkin upcycling is going on this 2012 autumn. Check out these interesting pumpkin upcycling sites:

All three of these are great pumpkin upcycling ideas, and I just love that pink one.
(This is a photo from #3 listed above and is not one of my vintage finds.)
Incidentally, none of the three have paid me to do any advertising for them. I happen to just like their ideas. So I hope you go visit them and even purchase one of their items if you’d like.
Now I’m going over to Beverly’s Pink Saturday to see all the pretty pink and pumpkin ideas.

Simply gorgeous! I am the featured blog this week, hope you can drop by.

Have an enjoyable pumpkin-licious weekend!
The two of you are so clever – and a great team. I love it all.
Happy Pink Saturday.
